Guess Who's Back...Back Again

(did you sing that title?? hehe)

Well, I survived the day!!

Actually, it went really well. It felt really good to be back! Lots of hugs and excitement - from my coworkers, ya'll!!! YEP! THEY LOVE ME! hehe...my kids do to.

And when it was time to go home?? The kids moaned! They didn't want to go home. :) awww...I feel loved.

So the day was great!

EXCEPT....

I don't exist in the system right now (they "delete" you when you go on leave), so I couldn't get log into any computers, get any emails, print anything, OR copy anything....

Yeah...

So, I just had to wing it...like All. Day. Long.  ha!! I actually could NOT have planned it better...

Here's what we did....

I noticed our February Quilt wasn't on the wall, so we started that today :)

Love them Reagan!

And our skill this week is inferencing, so I busted out with my art skills to do Abby's activity...they did great with it!
(p.s...can you tell what kind of purse I have?!? hehe)

I also figured out that we are doing fractions right now...sooo....I just HAPPEN to have some great clip art that I can use to make some fun stuff! That's what I'm working on tonight now that chillins are in bed. :)

I read this book...
Pizza Pizzazz (Hello Reader! Math. Level 3)

and it was PERFECT!! Not only did it deal with Fractions, but we practiced our inferencing skills the whole book guessing who he was going to feed the pizza to! Couldn't have planned it better, I tell ya!

OHHH!!!

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!

Does anyone want to be my friend?!

HA!

No, seriously.

Our story this week started with a letter....so in my "winging-it" fashion, I decided we were going to write letters to OUR pen pals....except....we don't have any!! lol

WANTED:

Pen Pals for a 2nd grade class in Florida.
I'd PREFER someone in a totally different climate than us - so we can learn about different weathers and such. I know there isn't much of the school year left, but I thought it'd be cool to do it a few times still....

Leave me a comment if you are interested.  thanks!

And I FINALLY got to take in my wreath that I won from Kelley's giveaway long ago! I LOVE it :)

And....

LOOK what my friend made me!!! Found these when I got back to school...

that's me!! Teacher of ALL things...hehe

AND she drew me this...so I came home and painted it - OF COURSE I had to do a photo-op with my girls :)

And my friend over at The Land of 2nd Grade put together a little sale sign!
Don't forget that Wednesday is the BIG sale!!

Head on over to my TpT store
and Amy's TpT store to take a look around!

Ok, I have to go now....I have MUCH less time that before in my days...lol...SOOO much to do, not nearly enough time!! I don't know if I'll get to blog stalk tonight - gasp!!

THANK YOU for all your well wishes for my day!! You guys are so sweet!!

Awwwww, I'm so glad it went well. I bet you're tuckered. I would love to pen pal with your class - but maybe you want another second grade class? Just let me know - I'm sure you'll get a lot of takers. We're in Michigan...so TOTALLY different climate.

Go get some rest now!!!!

I totally did sing your title!!! And I love your layout... I tried to look at it yesterday but I was on my phone so it didn't look right. Now it looks SUPER CUTE!!!

Go you for having a good day! And your quilts turn out a lot nicer than mine... maybe I need to encourage my kids to not cut like crazy people... haha!

I cannot believe your leave is over already; I'm glad it went so well. Did you survive your feelings rollercoaster? I'm sure our 2nd grade would LOVE to penpal but I totally understand if you want Holly's class in MI - we're in TX.

They're SO blessed to have you back; happy quilting!

If you are interested in second graders in an entirely different country (my name might give you a hint!)...we can help you out. We just studied friendly letters, and we've already written our parents, each other, a snowman, you name it!
