Love Banner

Just in time for Valentine's Day!

I can not take the credit for this craft. My friend made one and showed me hers, and I just HAD to make one. Hers was a little different than this one, but I think this one came out cute too!!
It took me about 3o minutes to make this, and would have been less, if I didn't have to tend to my baby girl needing me to constantly sooth her..ha!

What you'll need:

-4 white felt squares
-1 red felt square
-a bag of felt sticky letters (peel and stick)
-ribbon of some sort. She used a white one and is going to put red rik rak on. I just used a red ribbon that I found - it has a cute white stitching on the edges.
- glue: I used hot glue gun, but I would have used Fabri-Tac but I had my baby girl in my lap and I didn't want the fumes to get to her.

To make the hearts, cut the red square into 4ths

Then cut your hearts out of each little square. I'm OCD, so I like to fold my pieces in half and then cut the hearts so they are symmetrical! lol

Then, cut each of your white squares in half....you can get 2 flags out of each piece.

You can cut the flags in two different ways.

The first one is this shape....

Fold each piece in half, and then cut at the corner that is NOT folded, up to the fold.

Or if you want the shape that I have on my banner, then when you fold your piece in half, start cutting on the fold, up to the other side.

Make sure your hearts fit how you want them too...and trim if needed.

Next, I lined up the flags so they all were aligned on the corners at the bottom....then laid my ribbon on it and lifted each section as I needed to glue it. Then I trimmed off the top white parts that were sticking out and....

voila!
