Over the moon with a recipe and a freebie

WOW!  Can I just tell you??? I am SO overwhelmed that ANYONE would buy my unit(s)!!!!

I posted my Circus themed unit last night on TpT just hoping for at least one purchase - haha!!

click the pic to go check them out!

The first email I got saying that I had sold something, I actually let out a little scream - shhhh!! I know, I'm such a dork. But wait. It gets worse....

The hubs was in putting A to sleep, so I couldn't tell him how I excited I was.

wait for it.....

so I called my mom!!! hahaha!! Yep! I HAD to tell someone! I was so excited!

And would you believe that when made this little unit (well, 50 page unit), I was thinking I had the right unit/story/skills in mind that I was going to be teaching when I got back to work???

Wrong - o....

I was a week behind. Ha!!

Oh well, I can actually use a lot of them without being on a specific story.

(In case you don't know - I don't always teach out of the Reading book...I DO teach the skills from the story for that week though, so in essence, I am on the same page as everyone in my grade, just not using the book. I make a lot of my own lessons using other picture books...).

And I can still use all my math centers I made.

Oh well, I don't care. I still had SO much fun making them!

And I'm ready for more!!

I actually have crossed the Hubs over to the dark side - mwhahahaha!!!

He's sitting on the couch as we speak (or rather, as I type) creating me some doodle frame clip art - boo-ya!!

AND when I told him what I wanted to do for dinner tonight  - you KNOW I have a football themed dinner planned for tonight!  In fact, look at what I made for breakfast this morning!

They are Chocolate Chop Mocha Scones! oh heavens-to-Betsy!! I used Sandra Lee's recipe, and just used a football cookie cutter to cut the dough before I made them. Yeah...they won't make it until tomorrow...lol!!

Anyway, I digress...ha!! When I told the Hubs what I wanted to make for my football themed dinner tonight, he actually said..."nah, I think you'll get better feedback from your readers if you do "this" instead."

SHUT. THE. FRONT. DOOR!!!

He's getting into it now!! He used to make fun of me taking pictures of my food and crafts and such - ha!

While he's finishing the doodle frame clip art, I made some of my own dot backgrounds and frames and uploaded them to my TpT store :)

There are 5 colors: red, blue, teal, orange, yellow.

Here are some examples....
click the pix to go download the freebies! Just remember, I'd LOVE for you to follow me on my TpT store!

I can't wait until Hubs is finished with his clip art so I can start using it to create! He's a perfectionist, he takes FOREVER on everything! lol! But that's good...because he actually makes logos for people's businesses (he has a lot of side "businesses" lol - that's what firefighters do...have side jobs.). You don't want someone who doesn't work for perfection making your logo, right?

Anyway, THANK YOU for all of you who have started following me and all of you who have bought my FIRST unit! I'm over the moon ecstatic!!

Ok, I have to go think of what to make next ....haha!! And get ready for some football!!!

I'm not actually a big fan of either one of the teams, but I have a few good friends who are AVID Giants fans...in fact, one of them is AT THE SUPER BOWL!!! Jealous. Right here. Yep. ha! So I will be rooting for the Giants.

Have a great night y'all!

I LOVE scones! Back when I had my food bloggy had at least five different recipes. My favorite is bacon, cheddar and green onion scones. My husband even bought me a scone pan for my Valentine's Day gift last year. :)
My entire family is made of firefighters, and you're right...most of them have lots of odd jobs or just go work at another department on their days off. When I dated one, I never saw him! He was always working.
Okay, so I've wrote you a book here! Congratulations on your TpT success!
