Reposts, Snowball Olympics, and Giveaway Winner!

Today was the day that I had to take my momma to the airport - boo. hiss...waaaa!! (Kristin, I feel your pain from when your sister left!) I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have her here to help take care of Autumn during this whole time. And now it'll be a few months before I get to see her again :(

I'll have y'all know that today, I did ab.so.lute.ly nothing! Well, that's not true..but no projects, no exercising....and...brace yourself, I even took a nap! Ha! Are you proud of me?? hehe

Also, side note - I'm sitting  on the couch watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the Mr....yes, I know - we're kickin' it "old school." I'm typing away on this here blog and all of a sudden he goes "Hey - that's your guy! You know...from "your show" - the L&O show." Now, I am admittedly addicted to Law & Order, SVU. I met the whole cast like 10 years ago up in NYC at Caroline's Comedy Club when Richard Belzer was performing. The cast sat RIGHT. IN. FRONT. of us!! Mariska, Christopher, Ice-T (and Coco)... Ever since then, I've been addicted to the show - and it's a great show too, so that helps! lol. Now, I have a slight crush on Stabler...and now he's gone! ahh!!! Anyway, Christopher Meloni (aka, Stabler) is in TMNT!!! As one of the lead roles. hehehe....it's so funny to watch!

ok, sorry, I digress with my little school girl crush..haha!

I want to kind of REpost some posts.....I did one the other day about making your blogger account able to receive replies to comments via your email. Yay for a lot of you changing it!! I love how I can just email my response back to you through email - but some of you I still can't, your message still shows up as "no-reply" in the sender box. Check out {THIS} post about how to change that so we can respond to your comments!
And the other day, Rachel over at What a Teacher Wants, posted how to get rid of the word verification thingy on your comments box...which might help you get more comments! Go check out her {POST}, and she'll teach you a few things, that I didn't know either!

A lot of you are posting REALLY SUPER CUTE winter activities...I will have to admit, a lot of it, we Floridians can't do - plainly put; we don't know how winter: tastes, feels, looks, sounds, and all that jazz....again. Boo. Hiss. waaaa!!! lol

But, I really do like to partake in the winter festivities, so I have an activity I want to share with y'all - it's our Snowball Olympics. We've used cotton balls before, but found that it was a little difficult - especially when the wind blew, so we've using the jumbo marshmallows and those work great. I have them partner up- I've done this as a 3rd grade teacher.....we've partnered up with classmates, and we've done it with our Kindergarten Buddies, and our 5th grade buddies...
I don't have on the paper what to use to measure because we've changed it - we've used our feet (nonstandard units of measurement) and we've used rulers and yardsticks (that was for 3rd and 5th graders).
Click the pick to grab it - and leave me some love if you do! I love y'alls comments :)
I'm linking this activity to Pitner's Snowy Day Linky Party!

I  have a few more ideas I want to share with you, but I have to spread them out....otherwise, what WILL I have to have blog about? ha!

(ahh! I don't know why it's not showing anymore, but it DID say #22)

#22 was Lisa from Live Laugh and Love to Learn!!
(I don't have a mac, so  I don't know how to take screen shots of her comment-darn, I like seeing those!)
I will email you Lisa!

Thank you everyone for playing :) I look forward to all of y'alls posts, ideas, and giveaways!
