Fabulous cake, Letters from Japan, and winners!

Today is just a photo dump, if you will...

First up??

Hub's birthday cake!!

His favorite is Oreo ice cream cake, so I made an ACTUAL cake with the ice cream in the middle for the "Cream"

I made a cake in 2 round cake pans, and then iced it with icing...I covered the icing in crushed up Oreos. I froze the oreo ice cream in a round pan on wax paper (to get out easily), then put it together! LOVE it!!

Next up - we got our pen pal letters from JAPAN!!!

They were sooooo excited!! They kept shouting out all that they were learning about their friend!!

and sharing their letters...

They wanted to get RIGHT to work - they have so much to say!!

Thank you SUZY Q!!!!

And here, they are working on their 4-digit April Showers Math activity - I'll show you when they're finished - it's so cute!

and I decided to give my Goldilocks to THREE people, so here's who the random number thingy picked!!

Um, that cake looks delicious. I live within walking distance of an ice-cream stand, and I think I am going to get an oreo-blizzard right now!

Also, your Goldilocks unit looks too cute. I'm going to have to check it out!

OH MY --- I think I'm in love with that cake!!! My class did pen pal letters to Japan last year (my cousin works at an international school there - same grade). They LOVED it, and many kept it going after the year ended.
