Love to Joplin and A Day in My Shoes

There are LOTS to catch up since I've been gone for a few days....LOTS of LINKING up to do...You KNOW how much I love LINKY parties!! WOOP WOOP!! These days, they're the only kind of parties I'm going to..ha!!!

First off, I'm glad I logged on today, because I ALMOST missed a chance to help some teachers who went through such devastation!! An F5 tornado just completely destroying their town...and lives.

I don't have a TpT store to donate from, but I did donate a Gift Certificate! Click the Heart to see HOW MANY WONDERFUL TEACHERS THERE ARE OUT THERE!!!

Next Linky??? A Day in My Shoes!!

Ok, now...I will do a "Normal" day in my shoes (like pre-baby, and pre-holiday stuff, because - well, let's face it. I don't know what my routine is like once I go back....I'm sure lots of pumping in a closet during all my breaks will be in there a few times...so I'll stick to pre-baby routine)

5:15 alarm goes off....get up and start kettle for coffee (I'm a coffee press kind of girl), make lunch (or lunches if Autumn has to go to babysitter's - if hubby has to work that day), and then sit with coffee to catch up on emails and google reader.

6:00 start getting ready...baby girl is usually up by this point, so now it's time to get up the Mr too.

6:30 make breakfast

6:45 Head out the door

6:50/55 get to work and say good morning to my podmates, if they're there...if not, start organizing for the day - remember, I LOVE to organize :) I have to head to the front to sign in eventually, which is where I start my talking...

7:40 Kids start coming in (WITH their breakfast - bleh!!)

8:00 Morning announcements/morning news

8:10.....School-wide Intervention Block. Oh, how I would LOVE to have this 30 minutes of my day back :( How we do this is a whole 'nother post....

8:40-10:10 Reading block...that can NOT be interrupted. Whole Group Reading for about 20-30 min, the 100 Book Challenge, and small groups

10:10-10:30 Recess ...yes, 20 minutes is ALL we have :(

10:40-11:00 Social Studies/Science

11:00-11:20 Writing....I actually try to incorporate my Science/SS into my reading so that I can have more time with writing. Coming from 3rd grade, I have them do a lot of writing, PLUS now, I HAVE to add in a craftivity :)

11:20-12:00 Lunch...social hour at the Round Table (in our pod...we don't venture into the teaching lounge...ewwww

12:00-12:40 Math. part I - whole group

12:40-1:20 Activity....rush, rush, rush to get everything done, but usually get in some socializing...IF we don't have grade level meetings or the dreaded RTI

1:20-2:00 Math Part 2, small groups

2:10 - send the kids home!

2:30-3:00/30 Plan, organize, copy, talk...then head home!

3:30 Get home and love on my girl (and I guess hubby too), the go for a run....can't wait to start running again!

4:30 - catch up on a show real quick while checking email

5:00 - start cooking dinner

6:00 - eat dinner, give baths, and let A settle in with a show or two to get her ready for bed

7:00/30 - put A down

8:00 - finally get in some adult time...ah...who am I kidding? We're both sitting on the couch, watching a show, and both on a computer, or he is and I'm reading...lol

Anywhere between 9 and 10, I'm headed to bed!

ok....now I'm going to give my "Day in a My Shoes" as I am currently....ha!

5:30/6:00 Get awakened by 2 year old....slowly trudge into into kitchen to start coffee in zombie like manner

6:00-7:30/8:00 Sit on couch, drinking coffee, listening to whatever Disney show for A, catch up on emails (thanks to all you west coast bloggers out there! lol), and wonder what to do for the day. I can usually get Autumn to play and I can turn on the Today show...
Nurse
8:30 ish make breakfast - it's always something new. I LOVE breakfast!
nurse
9:00 Go for walk (hopefully, soon to be run)

10:00 Snack time, and keep Autumn entertained! maybe errands??

2:00 snack! nurse
2:30 - more entertaining of Autumn...do you know how hard it is to keep a 2 year old entertained that has ADHD???

I am SOOOOOOOO happy I'm past the nursing stage {waaaaaay past it - but I still vividly remember it}. Such a special time...but wow, getting up and hubs not having to since he can't really help...made me grumpy.

oh sweet momma...you are taking me back to the dark days. I am not a baby momma. I wish they popped out school age.
Congrats on balancing IT ALL!!!
I loved the crammed in craftivities!

My oldest is 15- I don't think we EVER get repaid for all the "time-in" at the beginning of their precious little lives!
Between the three of them -I spent three years of my life, sitting down, with a little human attached to a ta-ta! And I can't get anyone to unload the dishwasher without grouching!?!?!? Really...
They all better go to great colleges and get awesome jobs so they can support me (and the ta-tas)!!!!!!

Loved reading about your busy days! I have to say I am super jealous of the time you get out! Ours come in a 7:10 and leave around 2:20...AND you have a duty free lunch! Although I'm sure it's hard to fit in Science & S.S. Hope you and the new baby are doing well :)
