A change?? And a freebie!

Ok, so I'm really thinking of changing my name/theme of my blog. I didn't know when I started blogging, that it was going to go in the direction it has...Not only do I blog about school stuff, but also my life, cooking, and crafting.

How horrible would it be to change my blog?? Has anyone else done it?? Would I keep the same url and just change the name of the blog?? Any thoughts/advice would be GREAT!

I want to share with you some more pictures (before I get to the school freebie!)

Yesterday, I invented a new (favorite) breakfast for our household :)

They are perfect for on the go too!!

All you need is a package of crescent rolls, 3 eggs, splash of milk, some shredded cheese, and about 1/3 of a tube of sausage (you'll have to cook/crumble the sausage before making these...)

Roll out the crescent rolls (so the seams are no longer seams) and then use a cookie cutter to cut out circles that'll fit into a muffin pan. (I had to actually ball mine up after 5 or 6 and then roll it out again)

Combine the cooked sausage, eggs, milk, and cheese (however much cheese you want), then scoop them into the dough in your muffin pan.

Cook them according to the package (maybe a few minutes longer??) and voila!

(tomorrow I'll have another recipe for you!)

And for our day yesterday....as I said the other day, we are in need of a new washer...our washer is currently sitting in the garage....

In. Pieces.

And with a 2 year old and a newborn?? Kind of a necessity! lol
So this was Autumn yesterday...ready to go washer shopping! :) p.s...still no washer. boo. hiss.

So we came home for nap time, and Hubs went out on his own...so this is how we decided to bide our time. ..
she wanted to water my herb plants...

which led to making her own puddles
Pete is not sure if he wants to play in the water or not...he's kind of afraid of Autumn - ha!!

Which led to playing in the puddles!!

childhood fun, right?!

Ok, now onto the freebie!

You guys remember the State of Matter booklet my sub is doing with my kiddos??? Well, she made it! And she sent it to me to share with y'all :)  (make sure y'all leave some lovin' -hehe)

Click HERE to get the booklet!

And yes, my sub is a rock star!! You don't even know what a relief it is to have her...compared to my last sub - ahhh!!! When I came back, all was in SUCH a disarray!! I know I'm OCD, and even if I wasn't, it still would have KILLED me!! Not only were my systems out of wack, but just my stuff was SO not taken care of.

Ok, off to do more washer shopping.....or maybe the beach....or both! lol!

Many things:
1. I don't think there is anything wrong with changing the title of your blog. You could probably keep the same blogspot.url and just change the title.
2. Good luck on your washing machine hunt! We went searching for one last year and I agree, it's no fun! I hope you find one soon!
3. Your sub is a rockstar! :) I was a long term sub once and loved that experience. :) Although, I got to keep the kids for the rest of the year, so you bet I took really good care of them. ;)
Have a great Saturday!

Stories From Second

Hi Jen -

Awesome post; those breakfast-to-go treats look delish!

I think it'd be so FuN to branch out. I started at the Corner thinking I'd only post inspirational stories but as the blog has evolved this year, I'm finding more satisfaction in mixing things up and posting an eclectic collection of teacher ideas, counseling strategies and personal posts.

I can't wait to see what's brewing in the Cauldron!

I had 2 blogs. One personal, one professional. I got a little overwhelmed running both so decided to keep Kinder Kraziness and shut down my other one. I try to keep it professional but can't help but throw my personal life in their too. I'm sure when I have kids of my own I'll open up my personal blog again.
You can easily change your name, but your url would have to stay the same. Good luck with your decision.

I think you could probably just change the name and keep the url so you don't lose your followers.

I love love love your pictures.

And those muffins look so tasty right now. I am sitting here asking myself, "Do I have breakfast muffin ingredients? Can I make them from the couch?" cause they look like yummy in my tummy.

I think you can change your name and theme. I know I would still follow you! :) I can't wait to download the freebie when I get home. We definitely just got up at 10 and are out eating breakfast. I guess that's what Saturday's are for. Have fun shopping and beach going!

I don't think the name matters much as long as the writer stays the same:) My first blog was First Grade and Fence Posts and was at wordpress. I like blogger better, but sometimes I wish I had the other name. So bottom line... as long YOU keep posting I'll keep following!

Thanks so much for the recipe! I will have to try it. I actually have 3 blogs. My teaching one, another that's basically an online scrapbook for my daughter, and a health and nutrition one. However you go about doing it, I agree with the others! People will still love your blog!!

I changed the name of my blog last year. A new blog had come out and it's name was extremely similar to mine. This blog is REALLY awesome and popular, so I felt like I had to change my name because my blog doesn't deliver the goods like this one does.

My husband helped me choose my current blog name. Then, about two months later, I found someone else had started a new blog and their name was similar to my new name! Eerrgghh! However, I'm sticking with this one. It has more sentimental value.

Changing the name was pretty easy. I changed both the name and the address in my Settings.
I didn't lose my followers, but I did lose being on other blogger's blog rolls.

If you really want to change it, then just do it. It's like getting a new hair do. Refreshing!

I changed my name on new year's day. I was "Well, shut my mouth!". I also changed my url, but no one has "lost" me. =) You just might want to do one last post announcing the change and give it a day or two before you go through with it.

"If things never changed, there wouldn't be butterflies." One of my favorite quotes. Change what you want, those that matter will stick with you.

Yum! I love anything with crescent rolls. I am making these today to freeze for crazy morning breakfasts.

Autumn is so cute and loving the dog, too!!!
Hadar at Miss Kindergarten changed her name if you want to talk to her about it. I don't think it hurt her situation at all!!!

A seems to be having so much fun!!!!!! You're making some great childhood memories for her!
I've see quite a few people who changed the design of their blog & name {they stayed with the same URL}
So go for it if that's what you feel is right for you.
B is getting so big so fast {from your previous post}! Both girls are so precious!
I like all the Chinese New Year activities. I really want to make some of those Fortune Cookies and turn them into a reading activity!

Have a great weekend!

You could just change to "The Cauldron" - a place where all types of magic is produced :-)

I say keep your blog name...it's cute!! I think it covers everything! Teachers'---classroom stuff and Cauldron---could mean cooking.
