My Rainy Day Crafts, Wishing I was as the Beach

That's my craft for the day!!

I LOVE it!!

What I did was....

Used my cameo to cut out the letters...

Put them on the canvas
(which, by the way, was an auction find!! It was like $5!!! The painting itself was really ugly and gaudy...but we primed it white and then painted the canvas the same color as our bedroom walls.)

I kept the paper that the letters came from...

and used those as stencils on the canvas to paint.  I've seen people trace and then paint inside the lines, but people, I do NOT have that kind of patience!!! lol

And since I don't have patience, I busted out the hair dryer to dry the letters so that I could keep on truckin' with the painting...

Put the frame back on and voila!!
I'm in love with it!!

(*This was a pinterest inspired craft, except she bought medal letters to hang in the frame...I took the cheap way out - ha!)

And since mama got to paint, little Miss A wanted to paint too...

Photo: Aw yeah...gettin messy http://instagr.am/p/LlXJT0OxZC/

yeah....that ended in such a FUN MESS!! lol...no worries, it all wiped right off...the chair, floor, walls...her face! lol..

Poor girl, we've been couped up for a few days. It's been raining everyday...bleh!! I'm in need of a beach day, people!

Speaking of beach days....

I've also been working on a beachy/surfer classroom theme...

I had a "request" from Corinna (whom I think would be a FABulous beach buddy!!) for this type of theme...and let me tell you...It's going to be HARD to decide which one I want to use!! lol

Cute project!

Yeah, I'd hang with you and Corinna on the beach any day hahaha. I'm just mad I didn't know her before I went to Oahu otherwise I would have met up with her!
