A sad day in the literary world

So my post tonight will be short and sweet....

I just saw this when I logged into my FB today:

'Where Wild Things Are' author Maurice Sendak dies

Maurice Sendak, author of 'Where the Wild Things Are,' other children's books, dies at 83

'Where Wild Things Are' author Maurice Sendak dies

He died from a stroke at the age of 83.

Every year, I celebrate him as an author in my class. I didn't get to do it this year because of having an intern and going on maternity leave, but next year, I'll show you what I do. :)

Also, my blog has been nominated for one of the fascinating ones!!

Accelerated Degree Programs

How cool is that???

Voting starts May 14th.

Don't worry, I'll remind you!! :)

Also, don't forget about my giveaway!!

I'll pick the winner after school tomorrow. It'll still be on sale for another day since it missed a day in the TPT sale.

Ok, must go make some fajitas!! Yummmy!!!

So sad to hear about Maurice Sendak...I watched "Where the Wild Things Are" movie a few days ago on TV (thought the book was much better!). Had to call my mom (a former preschool teacher) to tell her the news.

Congrats on the award!

You not only need the fascinating blog award- you also need a super mom, wonder teacher, master healthy chef, artsy fartsy nomination (that would be one heck of a button to put in the side, eh?)
