We do it in Winter ANd in SPring. In Winter they get Ready for hibernation and in the Spring we have a party that hiberantion is over and all the animals come out of their dens!

I LOVE this book! I would use this next fall, for sure. I probably wouldn't be able to wait that long, so I may use it in the spring to kick off Spring and wake up the bears! And, since it is my birthday today, this would be a GREAT way to end a GREAT day! :)

HI, I normally do it now, tied in with light and shadows a bit, but we don't have a set unit for these activities. I love the idea of all your activities for a book study during literacy time. Always looking for activities such as these.
