Updated Holidays Around the World!

I took a WHOLE bunch of pictures today to show you guys what we've been up to! BUT, I haven't had time to do anything with those pictures because I've spent my whole night adding to my Holidays Around the World pack! I've had a few requests, so I just dove in! ha!

Here's what's included now -

It contains TWELVE countries to learn how they celebrate the holiday.

Countries Included:

America

Canada (The pages are the same as America.)

Africa
Australia
England
France
Germany
Israel
Italy
Japan
Mexico
Sweden

Activities include:

Map of the World

Graphic Organizers - country description and compare/contrast

Class book - to print, laminate, and bind OR you can project from your computer onto the screen!

Student book - teacher can choose which countries to put in the book

Passport and stamps! You can choose which countries. There are 3 different styles to choose from to differentiate for your students' writing needs!

Teacher "cheat sheets" with information on each country
Crafts for most of the countries

Here are some pictures of my Holidays Around the World pack.....

#1 - Class book
#2 - student reader
#3 - Passport
#4 - stamps for the passport

Here are a few pictures of the class book

and the student reader - it's the same as the class book, just smaller and in black and white

The passport has a page for their information and picture

a page for the stamps and a then each page has a picture for them to draw something that would remind them of that country, and then a little blurb under it. I also have them write that country's way of saying "Merry Christmas" on the bottom of the polaroid.

Check it out!

I bake dozens and dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies every year and it's hard to pick just one -- my top 2 favorite are Peppermint Pats and iced sugar cookies. I guess I'd have to go with the classic--sugar cookies.

Peppermint chocolate chip cookies. I love anything with peppermint in them. I cheered out loud during a faculty meeting when I got the email that Chick Fil A had the peppermint chocolate chip milkshakes.

My favorite cookie is the ginger snaps my grandmother makes! Part of the reason they're so special is because we make them together each year...everything tastes better when it's made with someone you love :)

Spritz...but they have to have almond flavoring! I even used to make them during the summer for my nephew since they are his favorite...but he is such a picky eater, we've never really told him about the almond flavoring! But now he lives in Florida, so I only make them at Christmas. :-(

Ginger Crinkles! My Mom always made them for me, but since she passed away 13 years ago, my youngest sister does the baking now! They are the BEST with a class of milk at night or a cup of coffee in the morning! Who says that you can't have cookies for breakfast? Especially at Christmas time!?

My favorite Christmas cookie is probably the easiest to make. It is basically graham cracker, butter/sugar mixture, and crushed pecans! It is delicious and soo simple. I usually make it and put it in a tin to give at parties. #neveremptyhanded
