The LAST few days and getting ready for next year!

We've had early release the last two days and tomorrow is the LAST day of school!!! woo!!

We've just kind of been "wingin'" it this week...

We did the end of the year time capsule and compared it to the beginning of the year. Click here to find your grade.

We've also learned how to play scrabble....I used the letters I made to go with DeAnne's Making Words packs all year

PLUS, they're using their dictionary skills!

I've also started making all my copies that I KNOW I'll need for next year...

so I don't have to worry about it next year.  Here are some of the things I'm getting ready....

I got my binder ready for the common core next year!

I have first grade posted, Kinder started, and I'll be doing 3-5 this summer....

I also had my kids helping me get my folder ready for next year....It was so cute...they were like "HEY, I remember these pages! (I trade out pages throughout the year as our skills get more advanced)...these are way easy now!" haha! I love it!

I also made a LOT of copies of all of our facts quizzes!

Parent survey...

I've also had a few people ask me about a blog permission for for pictures....When I first started blogging, I had emailed someone and asked her for her example...I can NOT remember, for the life of me, who I asked, but you can download my form I send home....you'll just have to retype it and put your name and blog! Hope it helps :)

I've also copied off the first day activities.... It's my First Day Independent Activities for 2nd graders.... It's another FREEBIE! Read my blog post HERE about how I came up with these...lol.

And as I've been packing up, I've been making my summer "To-Make" List....

I'm sure I'll be adding to it! I have so many things in my head....

Our school got 10 iPads for next year through a grant. We had to apply to be one of the ones to get one. I got one, and I'm SUPER excited...but, um....I don't know much of it I'll actually get to use....looks like someone has already staked claim! ha!!

Well, tomorrow is my last alarm clock awakening...woo!!!

Reposting - Replying to Comments

Ok, so it's been a while since I posted this...and I have *just a few more* followers than I did when I posted this last time.

I know that some people have that Threaded Commenting thing going on - 

the "reply" on their comments and they can come to your comment you left on the blog post and ...

Well, that doesn't work for me - I've tried everything.

And I know it doesn't work for a few others too...

Anyway.....

Not only does mine not work...but a lot of the times I am checking from my phone and it's so much easier to reply in email, than to go to my phone and comment on my blog.

I'm the kind of person that likes to reply to your comment...I mean, you took the time to say something meaningful, so I'd like to respond :)

However...I can't to most of you.

You know why??

Because THIS is what I see in the "TO" box...

Ok, I must go prepare for my return to work tomorrow!

I have to take ALL that to work with me..PLUS my lunch and purse....NOT to mention I have to take the girls to their babysitter, so I have their bag and lunchboxes! lol It's gonna be a FUN morning! :)

Threaded Commenting

Well, we made it to the beach today! yay! Good thing too, because after yesterday's ugly (for no good reason - it was ugly, hot, and humid!) weather, I really needed a beach day....or a rain day. I could really use one of those too.
It was little miss B's first of MANY trips to the beach.....she enjoyed it while snuggled up in my moby wrap :).....

just look at that sun and sky!! 

.....while A made a bee line for the water.....where she stayed and played until it was time to go. No, the water wasn't too cold...in fact, I was standing in it next to her while she was splashing around. :)



















Ok, now....did y'all see Jill's post on how we can reply to each comments?? Threaded Commenting, I believe it's called. I tried setting it up and it is showing that I can hit "reply" to y'alls comments, but then nothing happens. I hit the reply button and nothing happens...huh?? Any ideas?? Maybe I need some advice from a 9 year old (Reagan - where's your son when I need him?? lol!)

Ok, that's all I have for today. Nothing special about teaching....yet again. Ha!
